Compared to our pervious set up of two basic wire cages stacked on top of each other, this cat house looks very nice aesthetically once assembled. It allows for both our cats to fit in it comfortably and have enough of their own space with the extra shelves. They both seem to enjoy napping in it with a cozy blanket. A few negatives This cat house was very difficult to put together, especially when it got to installing the glass doors. Both glass pieces ended up with chipped corners due to how hard it was to get them in the tracks. The wood scratches very easily, which is not the best for cats with their claws. If you keep a litter box inside, the litter will get in the tracks of the glass doors and make them difficult to slide. So that must be vacuumed out quite often. The legs were also uneven so we used a couple magazines to make it sturdy until we could pick up some felt pads to fix that.
