The fabric that is on the bottom half of the scratching post is sort of like carpet but did not last even a month. It is already shredded and coming off the wood post. Wayfair is sending a replacement part. Hopefully it's constructed better.

The post assembly is very easy and the cats are into it. The only reason it didn’t get five stars is because it’s a little more wobbly than others we’ve had, and it’s a bit shorter. But the cats seem happy so I am too.
