The perch is molded PVC that is glued together with what I suspect is regular glue and not contact cement, so the perch pieces come apart easily on some of the pieces. It is also wobbly.

This parrot tree is a great item for the money . I’m happy with the product .

Read the reviews and was optimistic but disappointed once it arrived. This is a good size but very flimsy. Great size for a macaw , but definitely needs to be somehow reinforced and the purchase wrapped. The main post wobbles where it inserts into the base and the individual perchs are very hard to connect or will not connect at all without slipping out.

The concept is good but our birds are afraid of it. They didn’t use enough glue when they put the PVC pipes together so I had to reglue a couple of the “branches”. Also, it’s pretty wobbly and not sturdy at all.

Let me start off by saying overall I really like this tree stand. Cleaning it is a breeze compared to any wooden stand. I also really appreciate its simplicity. Its light grey color easily goes well in any room. Its not meant for big heavy toys and thats why I am just using her stainless steel buckets to put toys in and for foraging in one. I appreciate the simplicity bc too much overwhelms me visually and overwhelms most birds. I am considering playing with hanging some things next to the trunk using bits of chain. The bowls are also very large and will accommodate any large beak. The limbs seem like they will hold up to any beak also. . They have a textured wood grain pattern. The injection molded base also has this pattern. My fid actually took to it right away on her own accord. I also really like that it rolls really easily even on carpets. My all time favorite thing about the base is that if you put it together correctly she cannot use the restroom outside of it from her perches. Having said that I would like it to be more sturdy. If my girl gets too excited for example her water goes everywhere. There are also some quality control issues. Like other reviews I did have to glue some pieces myself and there was a quality issue with one of the wheels. The wheel works though. The bowls are also not as rigid as I expected. Most plastic parrot bowls are very hard and rigid but I can squeeze these in the middle towards the top with a little pressure. Also one of the bowls is mounted slightly tilted. The trunk does not have a wood grain pattern but honestly its fine. I think it would have been cool if it did though. All in all I really like the stand and I will go for this type of stand from now on. If the manufacturer is paying attention some tips I have would be to introduce more bracing inside the injection mold base. Instead of mounting it at the bottom have a bowl that mounts to the base and then the trunk mount to the bow from the side of the bowl and the trunk. Also make sure you use the same hard plastic throughout. As for the branches instead of the part that stick out that it has to be glued for the branches to screw into make that a molded part of the trunk. Use texture throughout also.Definitely use bigger screws. For the price point I still highly recommend this tree for your larger birds. Caitec thank you for making this. Youre the only one who does that I know of.
