I LOVE these cat bowls. I think they could be ideal for most any household depending on what your needs are. They would also work very well for a small dog most likely. I bought these for a very specific reason and they work beautifully. I also love that they are dishwasher safe, ceramic, and the shape is excellent to prevent whisker fatigue as far as I know. Also, my cat appears to love it as well! I recently purchased a specific kind of pet feeder for my cat to help solve an issue with mice stealing her kibble and stockpiling it. Eek! Though I am dealing with the mice issue in other ways as well, the new feeder works perfectly to keep the mice out of her food (kibble). My cat grazes on her food throughout the day and will only eat small amounts at a time (regardless of how I try to feed her) so I didn’t want to need to empty and add food to her bowl several times per day in order to keep the mice out. That pet feeder is called the “SureFeed Microchip Pet Feeder” and has an automated cover to cover the food when the linked pet is not eating. (It links specific pets through their microchip or through an RFID tag - so that will only open for that specific pet). This kind of feeder is also helpful for situations with pets who have prescription or specialized food/diets to be sure other pets are not eating it… And also when other pets might be hogs and trying to eat all the other pets’ food.! Unfortunately, this pet feeder comes standard with plastic bowls, and I do not like to use plastic dishes for feeding my cat. I prefer ceramic bowls. The company which makes the feeder also offers stainless steel bowls you can buy additionally, but I still prefer ceramic bowls. So after searching everywhere to research ceramic cat bowls, or any kind of ceramic bowl, which might work well in the feeder, I stumbled upon these bowls as well as another option on Etsy. I purchased both. I love the bowls from Etsy, but they are a little bit smaller and don’t fill the entire space allotted for the bowl. It is almost as if These bowls from Wayfair were designed to go into this feeder because they fit into the space as perfectly as could be expected without them being custom-made to fit it! Most of the bowls, I researched appeared to be a bit too tall, so they won’t work well in the feeder because the cover cannot close completely. I tried a similarly shaped bowl I already own, which was quite close in size, but just too tall and the cover could not close completely. That scenario does not work for multiple reasons. I am thrilled to find this bowl which fits so perfectly into the feeder and I am including photos, just in case anyone else is searching for the same thing :) If I could change anything about the bowl, I wish it was made somewhere other than China… But nonetheless, I am thrilled to have found it and will be purchasing more! One photo shows the feeder with the cover open and the other one with the cover closed.

China or stainless steel dishes are best for cats to avoid skin eruptions. I already had several of these bowls made by the same company and wanted one more. The price was so reasonable for a set of two bowls ($20) that I ordered two sets! This is an excellent product made of dish-quality china and I highly recommend it.

These bowls are shallow, making it easy for our cat to use. They clean easily in the dish washer.
