I was skeptical because of the price but it is perfect! It works great and the cats love it!

This was my first cat fountain and I admittedly did purposely go cheaper just so I could see if my cat would like it or not. Its a good design but the plastic on it is flimsy so it didn't want to stay together, it also would've been better with a slightly stronger stream, it was noisier than what I thought it should be, but besides that my cat did like it alot and it did get him to drink more water so it was worth buying. It's smart that they built the battery into the base and this is the only one that I've ever noticed that works in that manner so that's pretty cool. I think that if they upgraded some of the materials on it that it would rival even the most expensive ones but then it also would be more expensive so you do get what you pay for.

Although this fountain is cordless, you’ll need to put this close to an electrical outlet to keep charging it about every other day. While I like the idea of my pet getting clean water to drink, it doesn’t hold much - 2 liters isn’t much for a large dog. It does verbally tell you when it’s low on power and water but she’s hard to understand.

I got this waterer to replace a plastic flower-shaped one I had, which had too many surfaces to collect slim and was hard to keep clean. I like the simple reservoir and stainless steel top, which should be much easier to clean. The unit comes with 3 filters and a charging cord to recharge the lithium batteries. I was happy to discover the water bowl is rechargable; I thought I was going to have to replace actual batteries. The unit doesn't hold a charge for very long though; on continuous flow, it only lasts about 12 hours but maybe longer on a motion-detecting setting (only flows when a cat approaches). I just keep the cord attached and plugged in all the time, so I don't have to worry about it dying (NOTE: the USB wall plug-in is NOT included, only the charging cord). When you push the button to turn on the unit or to change settings, a voice tells you what mode you're in -- kinda neat. The simple design fits my MCM kitchen well, and I like how easy it is to pick up from the base; it's indented at the bottom to give your fingers a place to grab, rather than having flat sides all the way to the floor. The flowing water encourages my cats to drink more, which is important for my male cat to prevent urinary crystals/blockage and for my older female cat who is in the early stages of kidney disease. The motor is very quiet; not annoying at all. Great product! The only reason I took off a star is because of having to recharge often or else keep the unit plugged in.
