This is a great bowl for my dogs who normally inhale their food when eating out of regular bowls. I prefer to avoid plastic and was delighted to discover that they are made in stainless steel. These are great bowls and slow my furballs down considerably. The rubber rim prevents the bowl from sliding around. My only criticism is that I wish the rubber rim was permanent, vs removable because the are a little tricky to get back on. Overall, I'm very happy with these bowls.
