This soft heated cat bed is loved by both my feral kitties in the insulated box I built them. It keeps it on average 20 degrees warmer than the outside temp. Highly recommend.

Love it and the rescued dog loves it! He really needs the warmth and I don't have to worry that this will get too hot. Perfect amount of cushioning too; very comfortable for wounded dog.

Cat magnet. We have three of these now. Two are outside, in small cat huts. We have an indoor/outdoor cat and a semi-feral cat that will sleep on these until the temperature drops below 10F or so (they both have a warmer option). They seem to prefer sleeping on these over the heated hut because the smaller huts afford a 360-degree view of their surroundings. It's nice to know that the K&H pads are up to the task; one of them is years old and still going. The money spent on a K&H pad allows me to sleep on very cold nights, knowing that they are keeping our cats warm. The pad covers wash well. I hand-wash and sanitize them by putting them into a 3-gallon bucket with lukewarm soapy water. After manually agitating them, I let them soak. A double rinse, then drip-dry. In between washings, I use a pet hair brush to remove fur and restore the nap, using very little pressure on the brush. After seeing how well these pads are made and knowing that they are made for years of use, I wouldn't bother looking at anything else.

Heated bed is OK, cover is very cheap and not of very good quality, if your dog pulls or paws the cover it falls off. Cord is good with a good protective metal spring covering.

The heat is warm and diffuse--just right. Since it's not all that cold here, I gradually took this over from my dog and now use it as a lap robe when working from home office. I love it. Only downside is no on/off switch; it's awkward to plug and unplug in its location. I assume there's no switch because an unattended dog might chew it.
