This was difficult to put together as the instructions were not clear. We opted to not use the included wood glue (it would not actually hold the wood in place) and use gorilla glue instead. We also did not use the large dowel rods to make the small fence. I felt it could trap my cat's leg and cause an injury. We took the top section and glued it directly to the base to cover the pre drilled holes. There were a few other small issues, no holes drilled for the hammock, and the pine oil was still heavy in parts. We decided to glue the hammock and I just wiped the pine oil off with a towel in the thick areas and it all came off. My cats took to it immediately and for that I forgive the hassle it was to put together.

I bought this giant cat tree for my two very active cats with the goal of making my new sunroom into a catio for them. I had someone else assemble it (probably weighs 100+ pounds!) and it turned out great. Cats really like it & unlike many cat trees, I think it’s quite attractive.

Alright, the tower is cute. What wasnt cute was the lack of instructions. There was one photo with all of the parts spread slightly apart and showing a screw going in between. We figured it out (except one part, the beds click together and cant come back apart so we had to drill holes) but it took pretty long. The rungs on the edges have to be glued in, we opted for our own wood glue because the glue included (salent) is some kind of rubber cement. I mean we did it (3hrs between two people) and the cats adore it, but the packaging is terrible (Im surprised nothing was broken, the boxes were ripped open in a lot of spots) and the instructions are not helpful. I think they should at least redo the instructions at this price point to avoid a lot of guesswork.
