In 4 months my cats have torn the carpet off this cat tree. Not very strong.

Solidly built, the base is heavy enough that there's not a lot of tipping when the cats jump on and off. However, the carpet covering is extremely shoddy and does not last - I bought this less than a month ago and my cats have already started shredding it.
