PETMAKER 45in Cat Tree with Kitty Condo, Grey

I would give it 3.5 stars if I could. It was easy to assemble and it looks nice out of the box. The carpet is very thin though. I suspect it's not going to last a long time once the cats decide to use it but we shall see. The curved ledges aren't very big so cats under a year can lay on them but it seems like an average sized adult cat would only be able to sit.

It’s smaller than I thought. Perfect size for kittens or small cats but not for my adult cat. The resting posts are small and difficult for the cat to jump onto. The cat tower also sheds white fuzz on the floor as well as all over my cat.

I purchased this item 5 months ago, right before adopting two cats. One was a large 2yr old cat and we ended up adopting a kitten aswell. Firstly, my large cat has no interest in this, and has avoided it at all costs, however the kitten has loved this thing since the day we brought him home. This condo is not made for large adult cats, as it’s light and can easily fall over if he were to jump onto in. This kitten has loved this thing including all parts of it, he loves the levels he can lay on, he loves scratching the roping for scratching, and he even loves the ball toys. However, after 5 months this thing has gone through some stuff. The kitten still uses it to this day (he’s almost as big as an adult now). Now to the real review The top shelf is starting to go lop sided, the second shelf also started to get loose. I’ve had to tighten the Allen wrench a couple times from the cat constantly using it. But the wood on the top seems to be bending from the weight distribution from the cat laying down. Next, there’s been a handful of times that the cat has jumped onto this thing and has tipped completely over (especially at night when they are going crazy). The ball toy on one of the holes was easily taken off during play, the white fabric is really nice but over time it gets dirty easily from constant use, and it’s started to separate where I can see the pressed wood. My cat never was interested in the hollow holes and only the shelfs. The scratching post part of it has been very sturdy compared to the scratching posts that they have demolished before. That being said, I would recommend a sturdier product, foundation as well as the shelving part, I would also recommend different colored fabric that’s applied better, toys more secured, and this thing would be Golden.

The height is perfect, but this isn’t made for a cat with claws. Upon initial set up, she immediately started playing with the balls (as seen in picture), and within 10 minutes had one of the balls off. After clawing and hanging from the other two, they came off within an hour. There’s only one ball left and I’m sure that won’t last the day. I’m afraid once they’re gone, the cat won’t enjoy it as much. For reference, she only weighs 6 lbs and is 5 months old. I’m sure a full-sized adult cat would tear this apart, especially if they are as energetic as my cat.
