The directions aren’t the worst. It says to do all the screws by hand but there’s no way. There are hundreds of screws. I chose to use an electric screwdriver and it was a breeze. I was able to do everything except the seats and cubbies on my own using a clamp to make sure the panels were even. The dowels to attach the furniture to the sides are ridiculous. I chose to use glue and hold them until they staid put. I propped them on books and boxes until dry. Then I drilled. There is no way this item will work outside. It’s soft cedar and not at all durable. And I would never treat it with anything when an animal is meant to use it. I’m using it to socialize a community cat I’ve been feeding for 18 months. It will be inside. And when we are done with it, it’ll be given away. Not having a bottom makes it light enough that a big, determined kitty could probably tip it over. More than 1 for sure. I would not put more than 2 bonded, friendly and non-destructive cats in it. I will likely attach it to the wall or find a way to weight it down further. For the money and what I’m using it for it’s worth it. Anything more and I’d look to massively upgrade. The box came intact, all parts in place and labeled. Some wood had gashes, small splits and you can see where they had used wood filler in some places. It’s fine. Again, you get what you pay for and it was not bad enough to send anything back. Solid budget purchase for indoor only use.

Decent for the price BUT there is no way this is weather resistant. I'm going to have to paint it or stain it as there is only a light coating on it, and no coating on the lighter wood pieces (rain? snow?). The shelves are fairly sturdy and there are a lot of areas to hide or move around on. The ramps are pretty useless, steep and I actually want my cats to jump. Rain water will come in through the roof as it's in two parts. The frame is made of lightweight Balsa wood, when screwed together it's fairly structurally sound but really cheap, as long as it does the job I guess. Overall it's an ok structure and I'm sure the cats will enjoy it but it's going to require maintenance.
