Junk. The wood is soft and arrived damaged and with lots of chips to the wood. Also, The roof hinge doesn’t fit correctly and will not hold to the roof to the house when opened. The siding is loose and will likely break apart. Not made to last and just feels cheap. Waiting for Wayfair to contact me for a refund.

Product is a good value and good quality. The instructions could be better. Would buy again.

The dog house was easy to assemble and had some extra hardware (just in case). The pine wood has a nice 2 tone stain but because this is going to be outside (after I get my deck installed) I gave it 2 coats of an exterior wood sealer. The roof has a nice aggregate roofing material but to be on the safe side I ran a bead of caulk along the wood edge frame. The roof hinges up for easy cleaning. I am hopeing to get many years use from this dog house.

Cheaply made and missing hardware.

I bought this as gift for my mother's beagle. I was pleasantly surprised by how easily it went together overall. The only hiccup was trying to identify which way to mount some of the roof hinges. The picture instructions that come with it for that section weren't real clear and as I result I mounted them backwards which made the roof not hinge properly to begin with. I had to take a section off, flip it around, and re-mount it to make it work as it should. It came mostly in preassembled sections with pre-drilled holes that all aligned which was nice. Included in the kit was one extra of each screw and bolt. It definitely helps having 2-3 people to assemble especially when it comes to attaching the roof hinges. Adding some additional insulation for the winter would help, but for the price I think it's a nice little dog house and would recommend.
