A fair warning not to buy this product!!! The wood was cracked and chipped everywhere, I provided a couple pictures to demonstrate. There were small velcro pieces provided to adhere the pads to the perches but they are not strong enough to hold the pads in place. Very unhappy with this product!!!

Very study cat tree. My kitties are very happy and comfortable in their new space. After reading the other reviews, we did purchase strong velcro strips to hold the cushions down so there is no sliding. Also, the height is more like 54" including top cushion.

This post is beautiful and well made. No difficulty in being put together.

I looked at A LOT of cat trees/condos for days trying to find the right one that wasn't too expensive, didn't have carpet or fur, and also built nice and sturdy. I found it in this one. The wood parts are solid. The scratch posts are still made with cardboard and pvc pipping, but are thicker than most you'd find, and are sturdy still. The cushions are adequate and removable which are a huge plus for cat messes, but there is a big down side here. They are very slippery. The tiny velcro pads that come with them are a joke to say the least. I purchased better ones that are much larger, and still they did not work at all. They just do not stick to cushions. I have also tried grippy contact paper and it also didn't work. Maybe the one I tried wasn't good enough, but I didn't want to try anymore as I don't think they'll be any better. I wanted something with a nice rubber backing, and mostly what I found were bath mats. Fine, I'll use those I thought. I purchased one to try and found it super grippy, but not perfect. I cut a little hole and stuck one of the scratch posts through it and then connected it. It's not going anywhere now and is plush, and still looks good. I have since ordered another to put on the bottom. Ah, but what about the top? For that, I took one of the bed cushions and just put it over the top platform. It was a tight fit, but worked, and looks good. It's plush and doesn't move at all. Now I have an extra cushion for the top in-case it gets too raggedy some day. So yeah, a little modification required to get the best out of an already great cat tree with a big flaw, but easily fixed.

The cat tree is sturdy but needs modifications for the pads which is why I had to give it 4 stars. The pads are held on by little Velcro strips which I thought was great for washing purposes… until the cats started jumping on it and the pads slid around. They stopped using it because it was too slippery until I glued the pads down. Shipping and setup were amazing. Do recommend… Just know that you’ll have to improvise to get the pads to stay where they’re supposed to be!
