Unfortunately this dog bed just didn’t work out. The foam in it is so warped. I opened it up, let it air out and it sat for days before I realized it just wasn’t going to change. I only needed it for a bit of cushion in one of our dog crates so with the cover on, it’s still usable.

Not even close! The product description claims the bed is three inches thick. I measured it at one and a half after leaving it on my floor for two days to give it time to 'expand.' I placed a can of Old Bay Seasoning next to it in my photo that is just about three and a quarter inches tall for comparison. The bed at its thickest point comes about half-way up the can. And there is absolutely no way this could hold a fifty-pound animal, or anything near that heavy. My guess is it might hold a kitten, but anything larger is going to compress it so much the animal might as well be sitting on the floor. There's also a big lumpy section in the middle. After looking at it, I thought maybe you were supposed to fold the whole thing over, which would make it three inches thick, so I tried that. It makes it better, but the bed then is only half as long as advertised, and when you stuff it into the cover there are huge (several inch) gaps around the edges. Since it's not 'tight' that causes the foam to keep trying to open up, making it impossible to set flat (or for an animal to sit on it.) No matter how you try to use it, this is not a good product.
