This is real furniture, not your average litter box here! What an addition to my midcentury family room. Nobody noticed it was a litter box cover, not even the cats! The instructions were step by step spot on and the assembly was very easy. But, I did use a traditional Philips screwdriver in some places where I needed more torque. Super happy with this. Was using one of those litter boxes that look like a pot with a plant in it. Plastic got scratched and it started holding on to odors and dirt. The area inside was a bit small for my big guy. This rattan box is a really beautiful choice if you’re looking for something more elevated. I use a stainless pan and its perfect. The pieces are manufactured so they be used on either side so know where you want the opening before beginning assembly. The cabinet has enough room to fit the PetPivot Large Open-Top Automatic Litter Box with a litter mat and trash bags. The cabinet looks nice and fits where I wanted it. The side opening is a bit larger than necessary so my cat still ends up spreading litter on the outside when she exits. Also, I wish it came in more colors (I'll probably end up painting it). I selected this enclosure in order to fit my cat's Tidy Cats Breeze XL litter box & the best area in my small apt. it can reside. All of the other cat box enclosures (I got tired of looking) are smaller. I would give it 5 stars if it were a bit taller & had a bigger side entrance. You may want to enlarge the cat entry prior to assembling, if you're using a larger litter box.
