Nice catio But a lot flimsier than the one I replaced it with which lasted 6 years. Hoping this lasts as long. Cats love it

This has been up in our backyard for about 2 years now and it is not holding up well at all. The wire is rusting. The wood is splintering. The roof leaks. We're sorry we didn't just build one ourselves. I really hoped this would be more durable than it is.

I wanted a catio but wasn’t confident enough to build one. Found this one on Wayfair’s Wayday sale for less than another retailer’s price and decided to go for it. Super happy I did! Its well made and instructions were mostly easy to follow (I’m glad I have experience building a lot of furniture ). I did run into a slight problem where I thought the slope of the roof pointed towards the door side of the catio, vs the back which would go next to the house. I didn’t want water flowing onto our patio door, so we built a simple back out of 1x2’s and no wire mesh so we could easily get in and out ourselves. Filled the gaps with pool noodles zip tied to the back . We added a few metal mending patches on some of the joints for extra strength, since our kitties are big boys. I do wish it had another shelf in the middle somewhere to make the jump down from the top level easier on them, but that’s something we can add later. The most important thing is the kitties LOVE IT!

Better than expected. Took a bit for us old ladies to assemble it, but built to perfection over 8 hours, including the platform. I only wish the roof slanted away from the house it’s up against. I love it so much and we’re in the process of adding custom shelves and ladders.

Don’t waste your money or injury to you cats. My 7 lb cat busted the lower shelf jumping down. I didn’t realize this when first looking at the catio online, but the shelves are not easy to climb to the top or get down.
