The item is ok and looks as described but the chemical odor is god awful! I have tried to air out but I'm really concerned about putting my turtles in it. If it gives me a massive headache from the smell...then what would it do to them? I'm unsure right now but not putting anything in it until the odor goes away or asking for a refund and they can pay for cost to return put together.

Tortoises love it! I would recommend Bricks being placed around the sides to protect attacks from wild animals.

Pros easy to assemble, looks as pictured, and tortoise enjoys back covered area Cons smell out of box was horrible and we all felt sick (like gagging it was so bad), doesn’t seem super sturdy or weather resistant, wood was dented and cracked right out of the box

The tortoise habitat is working just fine. I’m able to put Boris outside and not worry about him getting away. My only concern is the wood material used to build this shelter will not last long in the outdoor environment.

As advertised. Fairly easy assembly. Strong smell of paint or some treatment???
