Has helped with getting my dogs on and off the bed without them hurting themselves by jumping off. We had to teach them how to use the stairs as they had never used them before so that took a little while, but eventually they got the hang of it. The only con of these stairs is that they’re a little wobbly and don’t have much hold on the back other than placing them against the bed. We also like that we could use these not only for our high bed, but also to get our dogs up into their portable dog bath as we use it outdoors and need to rinse everything off before storing back away. We would have been more than satisfied except space is very limited in our small retirement home and unfortunately the steps did not collapse small enough to easily get by them, so we had to return them. There's also a little hideout under the stairs for the cats to hide and/or play. Although these stairs are well constructed they are still lightweight and easy to move.
