The bookcase itself pretty good, around 9 stars. But the assembly instructions were poor, around 3 stars. In addition, there were not enough wood dowels included. Fortunately, I had some in my garage. Because of the poor instructions and missing parts, it took around 2 1/2 hours to assemble what should have taken less than one hour.. Richard. Carrollton, TX. It is as I expected. The drawers have a very thin bottom so I will put any heavy items in them. Assembly was fairly straightforward. Susan. Beaver Falls, PA. Fri Sep 26 2025

This is a bookcase storage cabinet with 3 tier cube with double drawers and shelves. It is designed in a simple and modern style with a beautiful, practical and solid appearance, suitable for many occasions of use in home decoration and daily life.

It looks good once assembled, but the assembly process is extremely time-consuming and frustrating. Even with an electric screwdriver, it took about 2–3 hours to assemble just one cabinet. We bought four of them, and it took us two days to finish everything. I would not recommend attempting this unless you have plenty of time and patience. Also, one of the drawer slides seems to be defective, so the drawer can only open halfway. The hardware quality could definitely be improved.. Anonymous. Sun Sep 27 2026

Received all items in single delivery and packages don't appear to be damaged. I have only built one unit so far but it appears to be sturdy, easy to build, and aesthetically matches product images. This is not a solid wood product but the each bookcase box is extremely heavy and appears to be of good quality.. Marlena. Fishers, IN. Mon Jul 20 2026

This is a fantastic book shelf. Solid, heavy wood construction and a beautiful finish. A few spots have mars in the finish, but they disappear when looking at the shelf from across the room. There were a few scratches that a furniture stick needed to be applied to, but I’m not sure if they happened during manufacture or our construction. The assembly was simple with the instructions provided. The only error in the instructions was regarding the type of screw driver to use. The wall anchor that came with the shelf was very flimsy, so we installed a sturdier more trusting anchor. The shelving unit did have a odor for a week after assembly. I didn’t like the color of the screw caps that were supplied so I have not used them; additionally they didn’t fit firmly in place. The bottom drawers slide in and out smoothly. The ClosetMaid 13” storage bins I bought to use with the shelf were too wide for each opening. When I trimmed a quarter inch of the insert in the bottom of the bin, I could get the bin to snugly fit in the shelf openings. I won’t be accessing what I stored in the bins often, so I’m happy with the ClosetMaid storage bins. I am well pleased with the storage capacity and look of this shelving unit. It looks modern, is designed well, and most important is made from real wood. I do not expect the finish to last unscathed for too long, since the lower shelf is storing my toddler grandson’s toys, we’ll see!. Christinemh. Huntsville, AL. Sat Feb 09 2019

It is exactly what I wanted! The box arrived safely and very well packaged. All the edges had thick "L" shaped cardboard as added protection to the product during shipping. It is well made and heavy, so it may require 2 people to bring the box inside. The assembly instructions were very easy to understand with clear diagrams to follow. Each piece (wood and parts bags) had a sticker with a letter that corresponds to a diagram. Once each piece was removed from the box and organized according to the corresponding letters, it took 2 of us about 1 hour to assemble. The 8 bins are a nice large size that holds a lot, however they are just fabric and won't hold anything too heavy. I am storing yarn and off-season clothing. I am very happy with my purchase.. Alana. Grass Valley, CA. Sun Jan 04 2026

The directions could use a little more guidance to help you decide if you want to follow the let or right directions. In addition, some of the pieces were damaged. I guess it was lucky that the first attempt at delivery led to a very damaged box and pieces so I could build the item using the best pieces from both boxes. I believe the damage is due to the way the items is boxed and how pressure is placed when moving and delivering. Overall, my daughter is happy with it.. Jen. NY. Mon Aug 01 2022
