The stand has a four footed base which makes it less likely to tip over or upset. The implements are well constructed (all one piece) and are a suitable length.

Even though we have a smaller fireplace, our previous tool set was too wimpy. The screws on the rack and the handles on the tools were always coming loose. This shepherd's crook set is beautiful. Tall enough to grab the tools without having to bend over and solidly built. It was a gift for my husband and he loves it! All the tools have solid piece handles and they hang in hooks on the rack with no screws to come loose resulting in wobbly tools. The finish is a dark grey steel with hammered embellishment on the bend of the handles. The only drawback is that the broom is not practicle. It's just too pretty to use.
