Nice assembly. Base and top plate are not machined square with one another. Good news is base plate and column are square with one another, so it is the top mounting plate that's off. Not too big a deal, but you have to be creative in your mounting the pieces to the top and getting it square and centered to your mark. Check the leg as it likely has a couple of dings in it that will show. Pick the cleaner top or bottom of the leg during assembly.
