Purchased two of these bases and placed a round glass top on each. Great for adults but not for small children. Three year old somehow pulled on the glass top causing it to topple off and shatter. Fortunately he suffered only a minor cut on his hand. I would not recommend this base if you are planning to put a glass top on it.
