Tapis Osterley Bali

Perfect for my coastal home. I have a small ocean view, and wanted something for the back room that picked up the blue ocean and sky hues, and this is spot-on. The product photos here on the website are absolutely accurate-probably more so than my photos, due to lighting issues. The rug arrived on time, and is exactly as pictured. Its more of a jute than a soft rag-rug type. The channels are sturdy, which I like. (feels like a foot massage, lol) I put a cushy felt pad underneath to give it a little more oomph. It was a little stinky on arrival, as many manufactured products wrapped in plastic are, so I put a fan on it for a bit and let it air out-no big deal at all. I got just what I was looking for an incredible price. (this is the 8 x 10 blue/beige rug)

The area rug definitely needs a slip resistant pad. When chairs are moved in and out it easily bunches up and i can see that it will have pulls soon enough. It has a nice color combination and the size is perfect for under my dining room table.

To me this rug is reminiscent of an antique rag rug, I suppose you can add it to a variety of decorating styles but I I like it with a country/old fashioned decor. Its quite thick and has various colors of blue and a natural white, not pure white. It fits the look I like and it seems well made but its not the most comfortable under foot.

At first I was nervous about how this rug would look with my similarly striped blue and white chair, but it looks great! Feels good on the feet when paired with a rug pad, which is needed if placed on hard surfaced floors. The fabric of the actual rug is very soft, too! I love the way it comes packaged, very much protecting this beautiful rug!

I loved the colors and look of it on line. I received it and it had a bunch of pulls seems to be where they tied it.. I had a allergic reaction. Unfortunately I will not be able to use it. It is beautiful! And very different. With a contemporary coastal look.Beautiful!!!
