the color wasn't as bright or pink but a deeper magenta

The one we received looks slightly different from the picture, in that the areas that look dark (almost black) around the middle and the alternating squares on the outside edges are much lighter than in the picture. That said, we like how the version we received looks, and it's surprisingly soft and comfortable under your feet.
