Rug had an odor, not strong but I am sensitive to certain substances. The Wayfair Customer Service has been amazing. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE by Wayfair. Will continue to shop at Wayfair because of the excellet customer service.

* updating review - don't buy if you have cats with claws! The rug was ruined in a week and a couple of months after purchase it looks like an old rag. Also, they shed terribly even now, leaving fibers all over the house and clogging the vacuum. Yuck. I bought two sizes for adjacent rooms. Nice, heavy rugs, tightly woven. Soft under foot. My cats like it, not sure yet how it will hold up with two cats, but the price was right and it's very pretty with my Victorian home and furnishings.
