This is a beautiful rug. It is a tightly woven wool with a flat weave. It is very attractive and the color is a nice neutral but with a pop from the pattern. It lays out relatively flat immediately with a slight curl at the ends. It will need padding to prevent slippage unless anchored underneath something.

Slightly darker than what I expected, but that could be the light conditions in my north-facing room. Still very pretty, though. It's got a solid weight to it considering that it's a runner size and I think it will hold up well to entryway foot traffic. Also, the colors will help camouflage dirt that's tracked in. Needs a pad to stop slippage. Overall, I'm very pleased with this beautiful and practical rug.
