So I purchased a new home in February and then did some remodeling but I was super excited to purchase everything as soon as I signed the closing documents. Anyway I saw most of the reviews were all good except for someone else complaining of the dirt and shedding. I figured they just were complaining and purchased one for myself. The rug looked gorgeous with my boho eclectic look I was going for. So much dirt and sand were in the package, again I chalked it up to being authentic. Meanwhile this rug is worse than having a pet. I think it's been 3 months today since I first put this rug down. It's just me and my 2 boys, not a lot of foot traffic and I have to vacuum almost daily to.keep up. I had to cut off the fringe after the first few weeks because the upkeep was just ridiculous. Maybe me and that one other person got defective rugs... I'm hoping eventually the shedding will eventually stop, or the rug will be bald at some point. I still like the look however I didn't want a full time job after work with this upkeep and not even a cheap rug..I mean obviously it wasn't 1000's but still, I just wanted to let people know...that the one person before me that complained of the same wasn't lying...I wish I heeded her advice. Here is what was a brand new vacuum I bought last month, because I had to buy a cheaper vacuum just for this rug, it looks like it's 100 years old and this is from just one day I clean it out at the end each time..I go over the rug like 5 times in each direction because the shedding starts as soon as I put the vacuum away...good luck everyone
