Well made, great “foot-feel”, and the colors are true as pictured.

Colors were great! However, the quality of the weave is terrible. Very loose weave, only a few wool strands per inch. This has made wear very apparent after only a month. Particularly where my feet rest while sitting on the sofa, and where I walk. Stands have come out leaving bare spots, and the fraying of the ends of the strands make it look fuzzy. The binding around the edge has separated as well, causing the white underneath to show. I do not vacuum with the beater bar either, just the hard floor setting. I am a senior, living alone, so there is not traffic or high use. Now for the smell. Yikes! Mildew for sure. It has taken this month of ownership to finally get rid of the stench. I could not place this rug in my home for 2 weeks. I aired it outside everyday. I understand that wool will have a unpleasant smell after being rolled up and shipped. But this was ridiculous! The wool used to make this rug was in a damp place prior to even weaving I presume. I have owned, and do own many wool rugs, and NEVER have I purchased one that smelled so terrible for so long. It is not a "damp or crowded" wool smell. It is definitely a mildew smell. I doubt this rug will even last a year. Very disappointed in the amount of work I had to do to even be able to bring this into my home. Much baking soda! Everyday hanging it to air, then rolling it up every night for 2 weeks!! I suggest making a different choice, unless you want this hassle, a stinky house and a rug that looks worn after only a month of light use.

Colors are bright and vibrant. Looks great with my simple grey sofa. Be prepared, lots of fuzz with first vacuuming... I have received many compliments for the rug
