The mats are useful to me. Because they lay flat and does not shift when I walk on them, I was able to lay them joining each piece, width by width, to form a perfect runner throughout the length of the opencept LR and DR. It's practical. I like it.

I was looking for thin, non-slip and washable mats to use in my kitchen. I knew when I opened the box that I had missed the mark on thin: the website description show 2 thicknesses, and I now know that the smaller (desirable) dimension is probably the mat material and the larger number is probably measured at the edge binding. I should have bit the bullet right then but we had company coming and didn't want bare floors. The 2nd dsiappointment arrived pretty soon after putting them on the floor: the mats are very light weight and prone to slipping easily when one trips over the binding. The very thin "non-slip?" backing is not tacky enough to prevent the mats from sliding and they are so flexible they will slide right up the baseboard. I will wash them soon. They do look like they will wash well. 1 out of three gets 1 star and a shame on me.

I purchased these because they stated they are to be NON-SLIP and washable! Sounds great to me- but the fabric separates from the non-slip backing and guess who slipped! because the fabric rolled around
