well, I had thought the proportion of 5x8 wouldn't work in my space, and was thinking a 6' round would look better, but I measured again using the rug rolled still in package for the 5' and then the other direction plus a yardstick, and I think it will do okay there. I unrolled a corner of it to check the colors and general detail of the design and it looks very good. The pile is even and dense, the figures and lines easy to see. It seems to be very well made and the name is printed on the rug back edging, which seems to indicate pride in the piece from the company. I wanted to wait to lay it on the floor after the weather cools and fall sets in. It is thick and cozy which is what I will want at the fireplace in cool weather, but it is still warm here. Soon tho, I am very curious to see the entire rug with the furniture. So far tho the colors are spot on to what was expected and hoped for.
