If you've ever shopped online for a rug, you know it takes time and can be frustrating! But what excitement (and relief) you feel when you find the perfect rug! I've purchased a Safavieh rug in the past and it is a high-quality wool rug that wears well. Any shedding the rug experiences is easily vacuumed and resolves. The color in this rug matches my decor beautifully and enhances the colors in both the painting and entryway console. I couldn't be happier with the purchase of both the 4'x6' and 2'x3' rug. The introduction of a rug in the entryway is a sophisticated but warm welcome in a home. And yes, I do have grandchildren (3 boys!) who will be running across the carpet but I feel a carpet gains character and warmth with age. There is a slight color difference between the two sizes (the ivory in the smaller rug purchased is lighter.) The possibility of color variation was mentioned in the description. Definitely need the double-sided pad to prevent slippage and movement. Even the flip side of the carpet is of quality-mitered corners and natural materials. I had minimal difficulty with the edges curling but did keep the rugs with right side down for 2 days to allow edges to flatten and used a weight on corners to make sure they lie flat. Initially, I was unsure if the colors would work so I ordered the 2'x3' size as a "test." Perfect! yay and immediately ordered the larger size. The foyer which is tiled is app 10'x7' but I opted for a rug that would be centered in front of the console and allow the tile to be visible. Choosing the size for the foyer was the most difficult part of the purchase. I thought about purchasing the larger size 5'x8' but am happy that I chose the smaller version. There are many online resources that guide you through the process of choosing optimal size rug for an area. I had a hall tree as well as floor vents to consider in choosing a rug size. So very happy with this purchase!
