Tapis en jute tissé à la main en fibre naturelle

I chose this rug for my modern farmhouse look as I actually live in a farmhouse. I was looking for a natural fiber rug with some color variation and this one looked to be the right fit. In the picture, it looks as if there are stripes of a lighter colored or off white fiber. This is NOT the case - in case you are looking for the same variation of color. The rug is all natural colors, however the braided weaves have lighter strands while the balled up rows have darker strands. That's what creates the "striped" effect. In the light it is spectacular! If you put this rug in a dark room, you may not see the same effect and it could be a disappointment. The rug is very soft and cushiony as compared to other natural fiber rugs. The reason I gave 4 stars is because it really isn't suitable for high traffic areas. The fibers are short and they do fray with traffic. It's easy to tuck them back in but DO NOT wear heels as you will get pulls in the rug. I would also NOT recommend this for a dining room. There are lots of nooks where crumbs and spills will nest and frequent vacuuming may fray the fibers. Overall, I love the effect and the look. I've added photos that will hopefully show the variance of color.

This rug is great. It's a nice textured neutral color but is actually soft!
