For a 100% wool rug, this is remarkably soft. The pile is perfect and my family has commented that with the Wayfair pad, that is is "super fluffy." The colors look more tan & blue-gray. We have a long runner in our hallway and it looks great with our creamy yellow walls, near the blue bathroom tile & on our original hardwood oak floors.

See my "Wayfair experience" comment. The picture and description of this rug as being "heritage green" and "beige" completely misrepresent the rug I received. The pattern is as depicted, but the primary color (all of the non-patterned interior area) is either gray or blue-gray (depending on the light), the beige is very limited, and the only possible "heritage green" might be a part of the dark color in the 16 fleurets in the rug's outer ring.
