Tapis en jute tissé à la main Dunes

This rug is in the living room of a secondary home with usage only part-time. I purchased it in July 2021, have vacuumed it frequently on floor setting without beater. The center of the rug under the coffee table and a lip under the couch are still light however, the rest of the rug has turned a color more like a natural color, not the bleached color. I have sent it for a professional cleaning (219 for a 5’x8’ rug!) and hopefully this is dirt which can be removed and not discoloration. Otherwise, I have loved this rug’s appearance as it perfectly complements our beach-y vibe, but I am disappointed in the color of the trafficked area in spite of frequent vacuuming and rarely wearing shoes in the house.

Nice enough rug, but it definitely has a yellowcream undertone, so not as pictured at all. Not soft, and has a very chemical smell. Sending back.
