The material is short and super-soft on the feet, which is a good thing unless you're looking for a "heartier" material. The fabric changes shades slightly as it is brushed (or "shifts") one way or the other (such as by walking) which again is a good thing--because it shows depth--unless you're looking for complete uniformity.
