This 5x7 rug has been the perfect addition to my upstairs living room. The size fits beautifully in the space, and once we get some rug tape, we’re moving it to the center of the room so it doesn’t slide—because this thing is plush. Like, Minnesota-winter-saving, warm-cloud-under-your-feet plush.
Color-wise, it’s actually lighter in person than the pictures made it look. I was expecting more dark blues and grays with touches of white, but it’s mostly white with soft grays and blues woven through. Honestly, it brightens the room in the nicest way and gives everything a fresh, airy look.
It came nicely packaged and rolled up, which is totally normal for rugs, but getting it to lay flat has been a bit of a project. We’ve had it flipped upside down with heavy books on the corners and middle for about a week. The one end that was curled the tightest still has a little flip to it even after two weeks, so we’ve got a couch leg sitting on it as reinforcement.
My dog, meanwhile, has declared this rug the greatest invention of his lifetime. He ditched his morning couch nap and now plops right on the rug—and uses it as a non-slip runway for getting on and off the couch since he’s an old man with creaky legs and zero trust in hardwood floors.
The fibers are pet-friendly, stain resistant, and truly no-shed. We also haven’t noticed much static, though being a 5x7 doesn’t give you many steps to build it up anyway.
Overall, warm, comfy, gorgeous, and absolutely dog-approved.
PS my father's little dachshund AKA my little sister came over last week and stayed with us for several days. She also absolutely loved the rug. My father was astonished that she would just go into our upstairs living room and lay on the rug in the dark all by herself. So much so that he decided to buy the exact same rug for himself for her to lay in front of his French doors and bask in the sunlight on.
