This is a beautiful rug. Thick enough to trip over, and the colors are as in photo. The detailing around the stripes with the white outline is fabulous and makes it look almost real, like a skin, which of course I would never do. The lines get a little wavy when you walk on the rug, since they are "carved" slightly into it, but I knew to expect that. I'd have given it five stars were it not for the fact that it still has waves in it from being rolled up after a month because the backing is a little more firm than it is supple and I'm not sure these will ever come out, even though I reverse rolled it a couple of times to try to flatten and smooth it. They are like little "wrinkles" showing through to the front at the end where it was rolled tightly. That is always a complaint of mine when I buy rugs is that it's so hard to get the rugs to finally relax and lie flat. But the rug is gorgeous and I'd buy it again!
