Initially this rug was gorgeous! Only took about a week before all the gold had rubbed off in areas that are walked on though. The rug is thick and soft, almost silky, which my kids love. They actually prefer to lay on the rug over the couch when hanging out in the living room and refuse to let me return it. Just know most of the gold will fade away if you purchase it.
