The runner has a dense weave and is well made. I followed the unpacking instructions and it worked well and lies flat. The greys are very lovely but the gold is more of a mustard yellow, not my favorite colour. However, it works well for the area I wanted to use it and my daughter was very pleased with it as it replaces an industrial rug runner so looks a lot nicer giving a well used area a lift.
