This rug is definitely smaller than the dimensions listed. I bought a rug pad that was supposed to be a half inch shorter on each side and it was larger than this rug on every side. Also, the rug in the listing photo does not look like it has as pronounced lines as the one I received. It is a fairly soft rug, though.

I spent a lot of time trying to find the perfect rug and like that this one was Wayfair verified and had a video about it. However, it has fallen short of what I had hoped. 1) it is not 8 × 10. It is 7' 8" across so it falls four inches short on width. If you have an underpad, make sure it is one you can trim down to size. 2) its much more creamy with a yellowish tinge than the photos show. 3) the actual loops are made from what seems like thin yarn - definitely not standard carpet loops. I have a feeling it won't wear very well which is too bad because it cost quite a bit more than similar lower quality rugs. 4) it is very thin so you will need an underpad Other than that it looks nice, as long as you don't mind being shorted on the size and you're looking for a warm colored rug.
