We had them down for about 2 weeks when one of the treads started coming apart.

I purchased these stair treads in brown. They complement my cherry hardwood floors very well. I did not use the adhesive provided; it is very narrow. I purchased a wider adhesion tape from my local hardware store and the treads look great and are very secure. I made a cardboard template to help me align the treads consistently on each stair without having to measure each time. I found that to be very helpful. The treads are softer to the touch than they appear in the photo. We are very pleased.

One of the standout features is the rubber backing, which keeps the treads securely in place without needing adhesive or tape. This makes them ideal for households with kids, elderly family members, and pets, reducing the risk of slipping on smooth wooden stairs.
