One of my favorite things in the new house! Great quality, beautiful color and texture.

Poor quality and sheds a lot , cannot vacuum at all - returning the rug

It’s a good looking rug - photos depict the color accurately. I’ve been annoyed with the shedding since there are lots of small, loose fibers everywhere. Biggest complaint is that it arrived damp, with an extremely noticeable smell as soon as I opened the packaging. It shipped fast, so I’m guessing it was stored outside at the warehouse. My home smelled like dirty water for a the first week and a half I had it, but it finally dissipated and it dried out. Yuck.

I just threw two of these rugs away after six months of owning them. They seemed much better quality than other jute rugs I’ve seen, but we have two big dogs and they just didn’t work for our family. They broke them down so much over time playing. I was always adjusting them even with a thick felt rug pad underneath. They don’t usually mess with things but would pick at these rugs sometimes. The rugs definitely shed a lot too. The worst was keeping them smelling nice. I vacuum once or twice a week but they would always smell like dog or feet even after trying baking soda, air purifying spray, vacuuming both sides of the rug and the pad, etc.. leaving them out in the sun all day worked the best but a few days later they would stink again. I’m just so relieved to be back to a normal rug that can be cleaned and to be done with the high maintenance of jute. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this type of rug for a pet home.

Perfect rug for under kitchen table.
