It's fine for humans walking over it but my cats make it slide. That being said, my cats do NOT scratch the material with their claws (unlike other types of rugs.

The carpet unpacked nicely and quickly laid flat. The carpet is plush, but not so plush that it gets caught or sheds. Both of our pets immediately tried to claim it before we even threw the wrapper away! Great carpet that compliments our living room!
