The rug looks great with my newly finished dining room. It feels thick and soft underfoot but we do have a rug pad underneath it.

This is my second rug purchase from Wayfair, and I have been happy with both purchases. The Darby rug was just as advertised; the colors are nice, and is has a soft feel to it. The depth of pile is good--what I would expect for a rug in that price category. I would recommend this rug to anyone.
