Rug was flimsy and cheap feeling…we didn’t even unroll it all the way. It was thinner than the description and it also looked to have some stains on the backing.

Deeply Disappointed – Beautiful Look, but Unacceptable Quality, Smell, and Service This was hands down my worst experience ever with Wayfair. I am giving two stars only because the rug looks beautiful once laid out—if you can tolerate being in the same room with it. The smell is absolutely overwhelming. I can’t tell if it’s extreme off-gassing or if the rug absorbed a musty odor from sitting lost on a dock in Texas for two weeks, but either way it is unbearable. We didn’t realize how bad it was until it was fully unrolled over a brand-new rug pad. At that point, after all the effort it took to get it in place, I could not bring myself to roll it back up and pay to ship yet another rug back (I had already paid 48 to return a previous rug I didn’t like). In addition, the rug is described as one thing in the listing photos, but the green area is actually a Berber style, which I could not tell from the images. It snags on my vacuum even at the highest height setting. To make matters worse, the rug is not cut straight on one corner. It is visibly crooked and there is no fixing it. I am now left trying to hide the defect with furniture and hoping the smell eventually dissipates. The delivery experience was just as bad. The rug was two weeks late, and it took multiple phone calls to finally get it delivered. While it was “lost,” I asked two separate customer service agents to simply refund the rug so I could purchase something else. Both times I was told to wait and see if it could be found. I regret not escalating the issue. Now I am stuck with a 700 rug that smells terrible and has a crooked corner. I have had great experiences with Wayfair in the past, but after this, I will never buy a rug online again. I am deeply disappointed and truly regret this purchase.
