This rug continually sheds, even after nearly a year. The shedding consists of tiny fibers- on the floor, in the air, but it's constant. Also these are very short curved fibers- I'm assuming this is the wool/fleece? What I learned is that the method of creating this rug is pressing/pulling fibers through a warp and weft grid- it's not weaving with yarn - more like there's a grid and mats of wool and cotton are pulled through the grid and knotted somehow? But it sheds like crazy and I can only hope we're not breathing in this stuff. I mean it sheds as much as it did when I first put it on the floor, and with most decent rugs the shedding is quite reduced after some time, and definitely after a year. It's attractive and dense, but cheaply made. Very cheaply made. Martha Stewart can do better. Should do better. Hopefully, this rug is not a health hazard.

Rug is very pretty, but I wouldnt recommend this product if you have cats, as the rug unravels easily with cat claws.
