Although I cannot speak to durability or whether or not it is truly waterproof, it has a good nonslip grip and adds just enough cushion under our dining room rug to soften up the feel while walking on it over the hardwood floor.

Best rug pad ever! I’m a designer and is my “go to” for all area rugs. Primarily because it is so thin. It’s a combination of rubber and felt but keeps the rug in place without making it too high. Also, it can be easily trimmed with scissors.
