This rug looks stunning. The viscose has a nice sheen which contrasts nicely with the muted wool. That said, because the rug does have viscose, which is a very weak thread, the viscose piles do fray at the edges after vacuuming, and sometimes break off or pull from the rug base. Make sure to set your vacuum to a 'shag' setting otherwise you may wind up with an extra fuzzy spot on your rug (can you tell I know this from experience?). If you are a frequent vacuumer, I would not recommend this rug. Another issue is that the rug is fairly thin (hard). Make sure to purchase a good rug pad in order to compensate for the firmness. Currently, I have a 1/4 inch felt/rubber pad that works great, with no visible indentations. I believe a rug pad thicker than the one I've purchased would be ideal if you have hardwood floors as I do. The color is an ivory color, not white, and slightly lighter than the color pictured on the website. The corners and sides took roughly a week(with books on the edges)to flatten out. The fabric is not freakishly soft, but soft enough Overall, the quality seems average and the look is terrific. Good price and value.
