Edit I’ve had the rug about a month and while I like the color and the rug itself is soft, it now sheds A TON!! I am constantly vacuuming around it and on it. We can’t sit or lay on it without being covered in hair. It’s frustrating! I Love this rug. I feel like it compliments the room and furniture very well. It is soft and easily vacuumed. I could probably use a pad underneath but I haven’t bothered with one at this point. It is just fine without one at the moment. I haven’t noticed any shedding and I have had it for over a week.
