This welcome mat suggests that it is an indoor and outdoor mat. I put it outside the back door of our lake house, on a covered patio. It faded terribly and turned the concrete (underneath it) brown. After 4 months, I had to throw it away. Very disappointing...I would not purchase this mat again.

Mat seems to be good quality but lettering is light and seems to be wearing off. Not bad for the price, but better lettering would be good.
